History

Cirquent’s roots stem from Softlab GmbH which was established in Munich in 1971. The company was a world leader in the development and administration tool — Maestro (Computer Aided Software-Engineering — CASE).  The company has since expanded its consulting expertise and extended its portfolio. Effective from the end of September 2008, the IT group NTT Data, listed on the Tokyo stock exchange and a Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) affiliate, acquired a 72.9 percent share of Cirquent. The BMW Group continues to hold a 25.1 share of Cirquent GmbH.
